Following the success of the previous veterans, On the morning of April 8th, HCM former footballers Association hold the opening ceremony of 2013 HCMC championship Open for veterans – April 30th Cup at Tao Dan pitch. 

Championship attracted 14 participants included many famous players such as : Nguyen Hoang Minh ( little Minh) , Dang Tran Chinh , Lu Dinh Tuan, Huynh Hong Son , Ho Van Tam , Ho Van Loi , Chu Van Mui, Nguyen Hoang Tuan …specially: Group A (Tao Dan pitch) – Professional-dist.1, Nghia Tinh , Minh Duc pharmacy,Thu Duc, Hoc Mon; GroupB (Dist.8 pitch ) – Galang club, district 1 fans, Hong Quan, Diem Phucreal estate, district 5 club; Group C ( Cay Sop pitch-dist.12)- Kim Hoang Tay Ninh, Ha Noi Phuong Nam, Ho Chi Minh City policeman’s former players and Vi Nhan club. These teams will compete in round to choose 8 the best teams into the second round in which they will continue to knock out the others. The special rule of this championship is that all team include three levels of age: maximum 3 players from 40 to 45 years old, 3 players from 46 to 50 years old and at least 4 players older than 51 years. This championship will end on April 30th.
