José Callejón is to be a new Napoli player. The Italian club, under the command of Rafa Benítez, has announced that Callejón will be the first addition to the Naples squad and that he is due to have his medical on Wednesday morning.

Real Madrid stands to bank €10 million for the academy player, who will earn €2.5 million for the five seasons he is contracted. The arrival of Isco and Ancelotti’s backing of Jesé and Morata left the Andalusian player out in the cold, forcing him to leave the fold again.

Callejón, having spent time at Espanyol, earned his place back at Real Madrid where he has been for two seasons before this move to Italy. Rafa Benítez knows the Granada player well.
