After the first 3 rounds of V.League 2019, both HCMC FC and Saigon FC showed a positive performance.

In the previous season, both two teams had to struggle hard to avoid relegation and just finished their goal at the last round of the season. Thus, when HCMC FC surprisingly got 3 continuous wins and stood on the first position of the ranking, and Saigon FC with a little less positive result as they won 2 and ranked on the 5th position, they made a large number of audiences amazed.

Although the impressive beginning of two Ho Chi Minh City-based football teams makes other clubs at V.League surprised, many people think it is just a phenomenon. Actually, losers of HCMC FC and Saigon FC in the previous two rounds are not very strong.

Even coach Nguyễn Thành Công of Saigon FC stated after the win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai right at Pleiku stadium: “The two continuous victories makes us so happy. However, the league is still long and Saigon FC is not a strong team, thus, without the best concentration and efforts, negative results will come to us”.

Meanwhile, HCMC FC’s players revealed: “Standing on the top position of the ranking is either a worry because other teams will pay more attention to us in the coming rounds, but at present we are enjoying our achievements first, challenges are a story of the future”.
