The Portuguese international has suffered an inconsistent couple of seasons at Old Trafford and is not in Moyes’ plans for the Premier League champions.
Meanwhile, Leeds have confirmed the signing of free agent Noel Hunt and Southampton midfielder Richard Chaplow is wanted on loan by Birmingham.
