Singapore had advantages when playing at home. And they needed only a draw to play in next round. However, the hosts lost 1-3 against Malaysia.

Both teams entered game cautiously, not many chances were created toward goal area. Thus, the first half was quite tedious.

Entering the second half, Malaysia attacked to find goal, and quickly they gained what they want in 61th minute. Striker Amri Yahyah hold the ball in left wing then passed into center for Safee Sali who quickly finished it as a goal for Malaysia.

Then the hosts turned to play highly, game was getting more exciting with back counters. In 83th minute, Armi equalized 1-1 for Singapore.

In 2nd minute of extra time, Malaysia took advantage of a free kick to score one more goal. Then Singapore lost one more goal within a few minute later. Game ended with 3-1 for Malaysia.
In remained game at the same time, Thailand won 3-0 over Myanmar to gain 9 points after 3 wins. Malaysia followed with 4 points. In the semi finals, Thailand will face Philippines. Vietnam will face Malaysia.
