Be excellent in the box to seat for the final of 2013 U19 national football which held in Gia Lai at the end of this month, coach Nguyen Van Long and players ( U19 HCMC) set high goal in this tournament. In the first round, U19 HCMC was in Group D along with B.Binh Ocean, DTLA, An Giang, Dong Thap . After 10 rounds, young players of HCMC headed the table with 22 points, with six wins and four draws, scoring 19 goals and conceding 10 goals. This impressive achievement was the main reason for young players determined to aim best in final. 

U19 HCMC attends national championship with 25 players line-up born in 1994- 1996. In the finals, U19 Ho Chi Minh City belongs to Group B against 3 strong teams: the host U19 HAGL, U19 Hanoi T & T and Ha Noi football clubs. “Though we achieved good result in elimination round, there are many strong teams as host U19 Gia Lai and Ha Noi T & T in the final so we should attempt our best in every match. The whole team does not have any particular talent, but U19 HCMC hopes will be able to show our particular solidarity and desire to win.” Coach Nguyen Van Long said.

Mr Long also added: “As a coach I am responsible for the professional skills, however I always encourage my players to keep struggling hard and looking ahead for a brighter future. The objective of Ho Chi Minh football is to attend Vietnamese first division next year, and attend the highest tournaments V – League in 2016.” Ho Chi Minh football is known that they are training, practicing with 5 routes from U13 to U15 at Hoa Lu stadium. U17, U19 and the 2nd division team of HCM are practicing at Thong Nhat stadium.

U19 HCMC is expected to visit Gia Lai on 24 Mar, 3 days before the opening on 27 Mar.
