Mr.Tran Anh Tu elected as Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation president

In the morning of 6/9, Ho Chi Minh Football Federation (HFF) term V (2012-2016) officially opened the Congress at Kim Do Hotel.

Generally, Ho Chi Minh Football Federation (HFF) previous term from (2008-2012) was successful in cooperating with Asia Football Confederation (AFC) and Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to carry out certain steps in the Vision Vietnam program – Ho Chi Minh City projects, especially school football. In addition, HCM City futsal team (represented by Thai Son Nam club) won the national cup and has contributed many players to the two national futsal squads attending SEA Games in 2011. According to the evaluation of HFF Executive Committee, the above achievements show a positive change after two years of declination. But that was still not enough to satisfy supporters’ expectations. After the Division 1 2012 ended, HCM City football club relegated and was faced with the risk of dissolution. One of the key points  of HFF next term is to  pay more attention to school football because that is the basic foundation to discover and improve young talents.

Mr.Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of HFF term IV – was elected as the next president of HFF in the congress.
