U-19 Viet Nam will play against U-19 Barcelona
Le Hung Dung VFF deputy chairman confirms that U-19 Barcelona has agreed to play in Nutifood Cup in HCM City in early 2014.

Nutifood Cup is a test for U-19 Viet Nam in the lead up to U-19 AFC Cup 2014, therefore leadership decided to invite top 10 ten world strong teams. Invitations have been sent to famous clubs as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayer Munich, Chelsea…
Yesterday, November 8th, U-19 Barcelona accepted VFF’s invitation. Mr Dung said that Spain Club would send the strongest line-up to this event. Now the VFF is completing the procedures to sign a contract with the … team.
At the present, U-19 Barcelona is playing at UEFA Youth League. This is tournament for U-19 teams from 32 clubs who are playing at Champions League. U-19 Barca stays in the same group H with U-19 AC Milan, U-19 Ajax Amsterdam and U-19 Celtic. After 4 rounds, U-19 Barca is still leading with 10 points. Specially, U-19 Barca has just smashed 6-2 U-19 AC Milan which is leading by Filippo Inzaghi. Inzaghi has said that “U-19 Barcelona is the strongest youth team at the present”
Organizers of Nutifood Cup is awaiting response from other clubs: It is probably that U-19 Arsenal and U-19 Japan will also agree to play in Viet Nam.

Fabio Canavaro visit Viet Nam
At 20h00 November 8th, Fabio Canavaro has arrived in Tan Son Nhat air port, he has been warmly greeted by Vietnamese Fans.

Ambassador of the 2013 Tiger Street Football, the world best player in 2006 has officially returned to Viet Nam.
Though the flight was delayed two hours, football fans has waited for a long time to call his name : ” Cannavaro, Cannavaro…. “. He showed his happiness when taking pictures and answering questions from reporters.

U-23 Viet Nam against storm
Coach Hoang Van Phuc and his men have cancelled the flight to Da Nang because of storm. Instead, they will practise in Ha Noi at Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

As planned, U-23 Viet Nam is going to gather at Da Nang from November 8th and staying to train in approximate 2 weeks before moving to Binh Duong. This is considered as an important period to footballers when practising at the seaside and physical training in and outside.
However, Haiyan has prevented U-23 Viet nam from doing their plans. On November 8th, manager board has a meeting to change location to Ha Noi.

Futsal SEA Games 27 Draw: Viet Nam stay in the same group with Thailand
According to the draw result of men’s futsal SEA Game 27 Viet Nam stay in the same group with Thailand and Laos. This means, the way to the finals of Viet Nam is easier.

In the morning of november 6th, schedule of Futsal in SEA Games 27 has been drawn in Nay Pyi Taw. Brunei has withdrawn from men’s futsal program. Thereforw, there are still 6 teams which is divided into 2 groups. Group A: Myanmar, Indonesia and Malaysia. Group B: Viet Nam, Thailand and Laos.
The head of Vietnam’s Futsal delegates, Mr Tran Anh Tu said that: ” In region, Thailand is the leader of Futsal and they have gained many impressive achievement: the second position in Asia 2012, and winner of Asia 2013. Malaysia in spite of being arranged behind Vietnam is trying to return their position. Indonesia is always standing in top three. The others Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar is developing Futsal.”
Vietnam sets goal to play in the finals. Therefore, with this result draw, the way for Vietnam become easier. Viet Nam will not face Thailand in semi-finals. Specially, Vietnam has more chances to play with opponents. This will help Vietnam to experience with others’ skills and tactics.

Evra retains France spot despite Lizarazu outburst

Patrice Evra has, as expected, been included in the France squad for this month’s World Cup play-off against Ukraine, in spite of his recent war of words with Bixente Lizarazu.
The Manchester United defender was summoned to appear before the French Football Federation (FFF) after insinuating the former Bleus star was a “parasite”, after the World Cup winner spoke critically of the 32-year-old left-back.
However, the FFF ruled that Evra would face no disciplinary action over his outburst and he has therefore been named in the 24-strong panel for the two-legged tie with Ukraine.
Evra’s inclusion, though, was the main talking point during Thursday’s squad announcement, much to the annoyance of coach Didier Deschamps, who briefly halted the press conference after being repeatedly pressed on the issue.
Elsewhere, Rio Mavuba has returned to the France fold, while star men Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud have all been called upon.
Les Bleus travel to Ukraine for the first leg on November 15 before hosting Mykhaylo Fomenko’s men in Paris four days later.

Marseille bus stoned by Napoli fans
The Ligue 1 side received a hostile reception at the Stadio San Paolo, but defender Souleymane Diawara was not impressed.
The Olympique de Marseille team bus was attacked by Napoli fans ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League match at the Stadio San Paolo.
The Ligue 1 side’s vehicle was pelted with rocks upon arrival at the Serie A side’s stadium, resulting in a shattered window amongst other damage.
Nevertheless, despite the obvious damage, Marseille defender Souleymane Diawara claimed after the game that he did not notice the incident until he got off the vehicle.
“I did not hear anything because I was listening to music. I did not see the broken window until I left the bus,” Diawara told RMC when questioned about the attack.
“When you’re focused on the game, you don’t notice anything around you.
“There was a great atmosphere at the stadium. However, everybody had told me that Naples would be hell, so I had expected an ever more hostile reception.”
Marseille would eventually lose the Group F encounter 3-2, leaving them bottom of their section with zero points from four games.

Del Bosque calls up Brazil-born Costa for friendlies
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has called Atletico Madrid’s Brazil-born forward Diego Costa into his squad for the first time for this month’s friendlies away to Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.
Top scorer in La Liga this season with 13 goals in 12 appearances, Costa signed a formal letter last month stating his wish to play for adopted country Spain and ending a tug-of-war between the world and European champions and Brazil over the 25-year-old.
Tall and powerful in the air, Costa has excellent touch and vision and is a handful for defences who find it tough to cope with his physical approach.
He will give Del Bosque, who often plays without a traditional centre forward, an extra option up front as he prepares his side to defend their title at the World Cup finals in Brazil next year.
