Ronaldo returns to Real Madrid training
The Portugal international is ready to make his comeback after missing the game against Real Sociedad, while Angel Di Maria has recovered from illness.
Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training for Real Madrid ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
The Portuguese forward picked up a knock in last week’s 3-0 first-leg win and consequently missed Saturday’s 4-0 league win over Real Sociedad.
However, the 29-year-old appears poised to return to action in time for the return after Madrid confirmed that he has undergone a recovery session prior to the quarter-final decider at Signal Iduna Park.
The former Manchester United man’s presence will come as a boost as Real aim to finish off the tie with BVB and progress to the semi-finals for a fourth consecutive season.
Meanwhile, Angel Di Maria is also in contention to feature in Germany after taking part in training having recovering from illness that saw him miss the games against Dortmund and Sociedad.
The Argentina international was replaced by Isco in Madrid’s last two games, but is expected to make his return on Tuesday.

Wenger vows to lift ‘unconvincing’ Gunners
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is “100 per cent determined” to maintain their fight to remain in the top four but knows his side have to start playing better first.
The Gunners were taken apart at Goodison Park where Steven Naismith and Romelu Lukaku put Everton 2-0 up at half-time before former Toffees midfielder Mikel Arteta scored an own goal after the break.
It put the Merseysiders within one point of their fourth-placed opponents with a match in hand at home to Crystal Palace, placing Arsenal’s chances of a 17th successive season in Europe’s elite club competition in serious jeopardy.
“I am absolutely 100% determined to fight to make the top four but it will be difficult,” said Wenger.
“We have still a programme that is feasible but we have to first focus on the quality of our performances before we dream of places.
“Let’s get back to playing better than that. Our performance was not convincing, not defensively, not offensively.
“We had a lot of the ball and were not really dangerous. At the moment we lack a bit of confidence to be dangerous and lack penetration as well.
“You feel from outside that the penetration and incisiveness of our games is missing.
“Everton were better and deserved to win. It was a very disappointing result and a very disappointing performance.
“We have to regroup and get back to basics.
“The fight is very open and is depending not only on us. Everton are in a strong position but we have confronted that before and it is how we respond.”
Wenger was asked whether fear was gripping his side as their previously unchallenged place in the top four came under threat.
“I don’t know. It is very difficult to identify that it is fear,” he added.
“Our big team defeats away from home have taken something of our charisma from the team. Is that belief? Is it fear? Is it confidence?
“I wouldn’t question the spirit of this team. They are focused and want to do well but they have lost something on the confidence front.”
Everton manager Roberto Martinez won the tactical battle as his side played Arsenal off the park to register their sixth consecutive league win, equalling a club record dating back to November 2002.
“The work-rate and discipline in a group sport was as good as it gets,” said the Spaniard.
“Playing a top-four team at this stage of season we have never had this demand, so I can’t compare the performance to another.
“The implications today were quite unique. We were hoping for a result but what was needed today was breaking many barriers.
“In 22 games we have played against Arsenal we only scored one goal or less: today we kept a clean sheet and scored three and looked like we could have scored more.
“The performance had an arrogant focus which was very pleasing to see.”

Mata urges Manchester United to improve home form
The champions have won just seven times at Old Trafford under David Moyes but boast the most points accrued away from home in the Premier League this season
Juan Mata has called for Manchester United to replicate their fine away form at Old Trafford after Saturday’s 4-0 win at Newcastle United.
The midfielder netted twice in an easy win for David Moyes’ men at St James’ Park, curling home a free kick six minutes before the break and then slotting home from Chicharito’s pass in the 50th minute.
United have claimed more points away from home than any other team in the top flight this season, but their home form has been disappointing with just seven wins at Old Trafford.
“When we look at that record, we think we should have done better at home and at Old Trafford,” Mata told MUTV.
“But I think it is something to be proud of, to be the best team away from home in the league.
“Let’s try to win at home, win as many games as we can until the end of the season and go higher in the table.”
United host Norwich City, Sunderland and Hull City before the end of the season.

Binh Duong charge gains momentum
Becamex Binh Duong have all the advantages on their side to beat Dong Tam Long An in their 11th round encounter on Sunday at the Eximbank V-League 2014 and move closer to the top place of the V-League ranking table.
After making massive changes to both the dugout and the squad, the former two-time champions are a team capable of challenging for a third title, which has eluded them since 2009.
But after a terrible start to the season, the team had to appoint a new coach to replace veteran coach Le Thuy Hai, who returned to the club where he had won two titles to work as their technical director.
The changes have paid dividends as the club, consisting of qualified and experienced players, has won six games and drawn only one out of seven recent games, to move to second place with 17 points.
The strikers trio of Abass Dieng and Huynh Kesley Alves, Nguyen Anh Duc and industrious midfielder Nguyen Trong Hoang, all being in good form, have been instrumental in the club’s recent success, scoring a combined 15 goals out of 22 goals in five recent wins.
And their impressive run will not end this Sunday when they host Long An, which has been struggling all the way from the kick-off day of the season, having not tasted any victory in the last nine matches. It would be the shock of the season if Binh Duong loses the match.
A win on Sunday would also help Binh Duong put pressure on Thanh Hoa, which are leading the table with 23 points, and Ha Noi T&T, which are ranked third with 15 points but still have three games in hand. The latter two teams do not play this weekend.
Than Quang Ninh, after a long run of success, suddenly lost its momentum with three successive defeats over the past three weekends. But they have a good chance to stop the unfortunate period and regain faith from their ardent fans.
The newly-promoted team’s opponent will be Hung Vuong An Giang, who deserves to be named as a six-pointer given that the team have never won away and have secured only two draws at home in nine games played.
Hai Phong, which rested last week and is in ninth place with 12 points, will have to put its 3-1 defeat by Song Lam Nghe An a fortnight ago behind them to face Hoang Anh Gia Lai, which ranks just above Hai Phong by courtesy of a goal difference.
Dong Nai is likely to join the top three as the team are favoured to win over QNK Quang Nam today at home.
