GoalKeeper Tan Truong is called up

The weakpoint of 1-3 thrashing against Uzbekistan is goalkeeper position. That’s the reason why management board has planned to recover this by supplement two goalkeepers Tan Truong and To Vinh Loi. Tan Truong is said to be one of the best goalkeeper now, especially his skills in moving and facing with high-pitched situations which came from tall opponents as Uzbekistan and UAE. Besides that, goalkeeper To Vinh Loi has been called up for his good performance through last season.

Moreover, Goalkeeper Duong Hong Son suddenly got injury before Qatar trip, therefore Viet Nam only left two goalkeepers Thanh Binh and Buu Ngoc. Thanh Binh though was trusted to replace Hong Son, he couldn’t take over it well. He catched fairly well in those games however he revealed many mistakes in thrashing against Uzbekistan. Buu Ngoc will comeback to U-23 Viet Nam to play in BTV Cup 2013 and prepare for SEA Games. Viet Nam national team only has Thanh Binh, therefore Tan Truong and Vinh Loi are necessary supplement.

Besides two goalkeepers, Viet Nam national also welcome back Tan Tai and Nguyen Sa who had to leave team because of injuries. This time, both have recovered and be called back.

Having defeated in total 3 rounds of Asian Cup 2015 qualifying, Viet Nam has no opportunity go to the next one. However, in the game at home My Dinh, Coach Van Sy believes that his men will try their best to revenge Uzbekistan.

U-23 before BTV Cup 2013: Set the highest goal

In the training day at Go Dau stadium ( October 23rd), Viet Nam football fans as well as management board of U-23 Viet Nam receive a good news that Hoang Thinh has recovered. The reason why U-23 Viet Nam’s management board persist in waiting him is that Hoang Thinh has experiences in versatile playing in mid-field. Not only playing as central midfielder Hoang Thinh can also manage playing as centre defensive midfielder or playing at two wings effectively. In 2013 season, Coach Huu Thang trusted Hoang Thinh so much, this mid-fielder played excellently together with Trong Hoang in the first half of V-League 2013.

U-23 Viet Nam practised at Binh Duong stadium

According to Coach Hoang Van Phuc, U-23 Viet Nam players now are still in process of experience to appoint the last main squad for BTV Cup 2013 and towards SEA Games 27. Hoang Thinh’s return will help Coach Phuc give out more trial replacements in centre of the line-up. If Viet Nam plays with framework 4-2-3-1, mid-fielder Hoang Thinh together with Thanh Hien will be put to support defense. Moreover, Hoang Thinh’s experiences and versatility will be helpful for him to cooperate with Van Quyet, Manh Dung in centre of U-23 Viet Nam.

In two training trip in Hungary, Myanmar and Ho Chi Minh City international football tournament 2013, management board of U-23 Viet Nam used framework 4-1-4-1 in many times. In this one, Hoang Thinh is the most suitable choice for position behind Van Thang, Van Quyet, Manh Dung and Phi Son.

The practicing day in Go Dau was very comfortable. It can be for the weather in Binh Duong was quite cool, and Hoang Thinh’s return made teamates happy. Therefore, there’s no reason that U-23 Viet Nam don’t set the highest goal in BTV CUp 2013.

CSKA Moscow 1-2 Manchester City: Pellegrini’s men back on track

A double for Sergio Aguero sees the Premier League side build a three-point gap between themselves, with Joe Hart making a point-blank save from Keisuke Honda in injury time.

Sergio Aguero scored twice as Manchester City came from behind to win 2-1 at CSKA Moscow in Champions League Group D.

Former Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic put CSKA ahead in the first half, but Aguero levelled less than two minutes later.

And the Argentina striker added a second before half-time on a difficult pitch at the Arena Khimki to put City back on track to qualify for the knockout stages following their home defeat to Bayern Munich last time out.

CSKA, though, nearly equalised at the death when Matija Nastasic’s poor defensive header landed at the feet of Keisuke Honda six yards out, but Joe Hart saved well with his right leg to avoid City dropping points.

The victory leaves Manuel Pellegrini’s side second and three points ahead of their Russian opponents, who are on a poor run of form after picking up only one point from their last five Russian Premier League games.

Pablo Zabaleta, Aleksandar Kolarov and Jesus Navas were restored to the City starting line-up at the expense of Micah Richards, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy.

CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev (knee) was passed fit to start, but Alan Dzagoev (hamstring) and Aleksandrs Cauna (toe) were not ready to return.

Pellegrini expressed his concerns over the pitch ahead of the game and CSKA had been forced to play their last Champions League fixture against Viktoria Plzen in St Petersburg due to the condition of the playing surface.

But City made a positive start and should have been in front in the third minute when Aguero flicked on David Silva’s corner but Yaya Toure failed to apply the finish at the back post.

CSKA coach Leonid Slutsky made a change after just six minutes, with Aleksei Berezutski replacing his twin brother Vasili despite no apparent injury.

Aguero and Alvaro Negredo but had further chances to put City in front, but the visitors were caught cold after 32 minutes when Keisuke Honda headed on and Tosic nipped in to lift the ball over Joe Hart and into the back of the net.

CSKA’s joy was short-lived, though, as the away side were back on level terms within two minutes as Silva crossed the ball in from the left and Aguero was on hand to finish from six yards after Sergei Ignashevich failed to clear.

The hosts were struggling to contain City and it was no surprise when Aguero struck again just four minutes before the break with a brave close-range header after he was picked out by Negredo.

Negredo thought he had extended City’s lead in the first minute of the second half but he was adjudged to have handled the ball as he applied the finish from close range and was booked.

Hart had to be alert to keep out a headed effort from striker Seydou Doumbia just six minutes after the break.

Ahmed Musa did have the ball in the back of the City net nine minutes from time, but the whistle had already gone for a foul on Toure.

Edin Dzeko could have sealed it when he was off target from close range and Honda was denied by Hart right at the death, but City held on for three precious points.
