Massimiliano Allegri feels Juventus have been unlucky in away games in the Champions League so far this term.

The Serie A leaders have been beaten by Atletico Madrid and Olympiakos so far in Group A and are in danger of missing out on the last 16, despite winning both home games.

Wednesday’s clash against Malmo gives Juve a chance to climb above Olympiakos before hosting Spanish champions Atletico in the final group game, but Allegri will not underestimate the threat posed by the Swedish champions and has demanded more from his players at the Swedbank Stadion.

“We didn’t deserve to lose our last two European away matches. We played with plenty of personality in Madrid and fashioned a host of chances in Greece,” Allegri said at a press conference.

“Wednesday will be a different game entirely and we’ll need to be quick and alert.

“Malmo are a very strong team at home with more pressure in their style of play. Against Atletico last time out they deserved more than they got and we’re under no illusions: Wednesday’s game will be very difficult.

“It is important to be focused. We know how we can play and we must be at our best. We need to play with more tempo and we need to take any opportunities that come our way.

“We are here to play the whole 90 minutes and we know what needs to be done.”

Juve beat Malmo 2-0 in the reverse fixture on matchday one, a Carlos Tevez double giving Allegri’s side all three points.
