Bayern Munchen head coach Pep Guardiola has dismissed suggestions he receives favourable treatment from match officials in the Bundesliga.

TSG Hoffenheim boss Markus Gisdol made the claim this week after being sent to the stands for remonstrating with the assistant referee during the 1-1 draw with BVB Dortmund, saying afterwards that Guardiola has never been reprimanded for similar incidents “10 times.”
But the Spaniard has professed his innocence, insisting he has nothing but respect for referees, while also moving to ease tensions with Gisdol.
“I’ve talked to Markus. All is well. I don’t think a Catalan coach has a bonus here,” Guardiola said.
“I’ve never in my life directed a bad word at a referee. I have the greatest respect.”
