Last weekend, the journalism football tournament -2014 Hong Bang education Cup has been kicked off at Tao Dan pitch ( district 1)

This is a yearly tournament which is hold by organization of university sports and professional sports in Ho Chi Minh City aimed to encourage movement of practising sports within staff and teachers, journalists. Then, the relation between teachers and journalist in local will be closer, moreover this is also a tournament to greet Vietnam teachers’ day 20-11.

This year, there are 14 teams: Journalists of education club, sports journalists club, IT journalist club, Muc Tim newspaper, HCM economy and law university, HCM uiversity of economy, Lac Hong university, hutech university, Ton Duc Thang university, Van Hien university, HCM traffic and transports university, theater university. All of them will be divided into 4 groups to compete in round. Then the best couple of each group will play in quarter finals.

According to Colonel Cao Viet Ninh, deputy chairman of HCMC professional sports and university sports organization, there are many prizes and tournament for students. However, there is no tournament for staff among university to play together. Thus, this is a chance for them and that’s the reason why this tournament received many supports from organization and staff. This year, Hong Bang university has decided to support this tournament. It is also expected to be enlarge next year with amount and quality of players. Games will end on december 7th.
