    In the afternoon of June 18th, the 2013 AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship for the ASEAN region had opened at Thong Nhat stadium- HCMC. In the first match U14 Viet Nam   excellently thrashed Malaysia 7-1.

    2013 AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship ASEAN region will be taken place from 18th to 23rd of June at Thong Nhat stadium- HCMC included 6 teams: Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philipines, Thailand, and hosts Viet Nam. Many candidates attended opening ceremony Mr Mai Ba Hung – Deputy Director of the Department of Ho Chi Minh Culture and Tourism, Mr. Duong Vu Lam – deputy chairman of the Asean Football Federation (AFF), Mr. Nguyen Nam Hung – Member of VFF Executive Board.

    In the first match between hosts U14 Viet Nam and U14 Malaysia, Viet Nam players better in form and class. Coach Khanh Thu’s women win 4-1 over opponent in 1st half. Entering the second half, in spite of trying hard, U14 Malaysia had to accept 3 more goal against. Viet Nam is contemporarily stood at No.1 after 7-1 win over Malaysia.

    U14 Viet Nam Women’s football team to win heavily in the first match

    The most wanted game was between U14 Thailand and U14 Myanmar. Because Thailand and Myanmar are two strongest teams in region except Viet Nam. As expected, the same in expertise as well as strength of U14 Myanmar and U14 Thailand brought audiences a chasing in score. Thailand’s Pradthana Songkram scored an open, however, U14 Myanmar had 2 consecutive goals that helped Myanmar to the lead 2-1. Till the end of 1st half Thailand’s Thin Thin Yu’s equalizing brought game to the start. Many chances were created in the second half, however Pradthana’s only goal set the final 3-2 win for Thailand.

    In the last game between U14 Cambodia and U14 Phillipines, the later played an excellent game to win 7-1 over cambodia. Thus, after the first leg, U 14 Viet Nam is leading the table with 3 points, Philippines holds No.2, the third position belongs to Thailand. June 19th, the tournament will be continued with games at: 15h00 Viet Nam- Philippines, 17h00 Cambodia– Myanmar .19h00: Malaysia– Thailand..
