If the pandemic continues positive happening in the coming time, the day on which V-League returns and becomes an icon of the world in fighting against the pandemic will not be far.

Positive happening of the pandemic is bringing Vietnamese fans a hope about an entire V-League season

Until April 23rd, 268 Covid-19 cases had been reported in Vietnam, in which 223 cases had recovered, occupying 83 percent of total cases positive with the new virus generation.

Noticeably, Vietnam has had no more report on new Covid-19 cases during the last 7 days. This great result comes from the solidarity of the whole people in the country, and from the clear-sighted leadership of the Party and the Government, making Vietnam a successfully leading country in Covid-19 pandemic prevention and fighting.

With a such success, on April 22nd, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc issued a decision that just districts with high risk remain social quarantine, while it is no longer necessary to carry out quarantine in provinces and cities with low risks.

To most Vietnamese people, the 23rd of April is a historic day. It is the first day their inherent lifestyle comes back after a period of quarantine, joining hands with the Government to seriously deploy Covid-19 prevention and fighting activities.

If no new Covid-19 case is reported in the upcoming time, all social activities will be gradually allowed back. Fields such as recreation, entertainment, gymnasium and sports may be loosen, and it is much possible that professional football will be a pioneer field as V-League 2020 may be allowed to be back into operation in late May.

VPF has revealed that football activities may come back on May 15th, matches in Bamboo Airways National Cup 2020 will be the first ones, while LS V-League 2020 is planned to return on May 20th. Worthily, Matches will be opened-doors for audiences if the happening of the pandemic is really safely controlled and being allowed by the Government.

V-League return will be a positive sign in the situation when football leagues in the world are still in lockdown due to the pandemic

In early April, VPF hold an online meeting with the participation of football clubs to discuss about V-League’s operation when the pandemic precipitates. Closed-doors matches at one place were considered and supported by many clubs. But with positive signs, this solution may not be deployed. This is really a happy news for all Vietnamese football fans who used to think that it would be difficult for V-League to go to the end and the risk of cancelling the season became more realistic.

The event that professional football returns in May with no postponement will make operation plan of national team in the year not be influenced. In addition, football clubs will not be worried about pays for players while they are not playing.

The return of football activities in Vietnam will be a great spiritual dish for the crowded number of fans who are missing the atmosphere of football matches. The 15th of May will be also an important milestone of the world’s football as V-League returns and becomes an icon in defeating the pandemic of global football.
