After the match with U-23 Galatasaray which was not received much praise, U-23 Viet Nam changes its face in the game against U-23 Santos and winning 3-1 over opponents. Coach Phuc seemed to be fairly pleased with the first step of progress of players.

From the European training trip to these two matches, What do you evaluate U-23’s growth? 

In commonly, after two matches managing board feel a little bit pleased. Against U-23 Galatasaray inspite of winning, U-23 Viet Nam didn’t play so well. In this game, the physical strength have been improved especially, their compliance with tactics given by manager board.

In this game, players move within good frame, there was not much distance for U-23 Santos develop their tactics. Their advantages is short distance cooperation. Especially, Vietnamese getting back and attacking harmonily.

Though we were leading with 2 goals, there are some situations when managing board lost their pleasant. Because the weakness in defends which caused a goal against. Thus the distance should be changed.

What do you say about the good and bad sides of this game?

The most important thing is that facing with tall and strong players with pressing style Viet Nam still play well. U-23 Santos have good fitness and skills.

Besides that, players turn defend to attacking and reserving smoothly, this is begining progress.

What should be changed after two matches? 

Actually, we have just finished two games, this we should discuss later, It’s probably tomorrow or the next day managing board will have a meeting .

In the Calling in October, will you change in training lesson or regimen. 

In the calling in October, we will play 2 friendly matches in Myanmar. Our goals in Myanmar is to get acquainted with the pitch and weather. Players who were absent in two matches will have chance to play against Myanmar. Viet Nam is said not to send out the best squad.

What’s your plan from now on till  SEA Games?

After two matches, players will have time to retire and being recalled on October 5th in Ha Noi for Myanmar. After two matches against Myanmar, we will be back for Binh Duong cup from October 25th to November 3rd. Then team will be free till October 8th for 4 weeks practicing for SEA Games 27.
