SHB Da Nang has signed Melquiades Canderlario Gomez of Spain and Pejic Anto of Croatia in preparation for next year’s V-League season.

Director of the SHB Da Nang Sport Stock Company, Bui Xuan Hoa, said yesterday that the two strikers had passed their medical checks for a two-month trial with the team.

The new strikers will strengthen the team’s attack after top scorer Gaston Sebastian Merlo left the team early this year, and the departures of Phan Thanh Hung, Cao Cuong and Ha Minh Tuan to Quang Nam.

Anto shined for where he scored 17 goals in the Slovenian championship.

Gomez, 31, who played for Real Betis, has experience in Vietnamese football after scoring six goals for Dong Nai last year.

The team will play against Thanh Hoa, Binh Duong, and Ha Noi T&T next month in the opening games of the season.

Da Nang, who won the championship in 1992, 2009 and 2012, finished fourth last year.
