Vietnam National U23 team will play a friendly match with Japan-based Cerezo Osaka Football Club at the Hang Day stadium on December 17, the information was released by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

General Secretary of Vietnam Football Federation Le Hoai Anh said the Vietnamese team will start a year full of major events of Vietnam Football by competing in the qualifiers of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship.

This is a top- ranking tournament of youth football in the continent and it also serves as an arena for the most potential players of Vietnam to show their talent and desire to reach new heights.

Vietnam Football Federation hopes that through the match with a strong team from Japan, the young players of Vietnam National U-23 Team will get all experience needed to launch the campaign for the 2016 AFC U-23 qualifiers that will take place in Qatar from 14th to 20th January 2016.
