Malaysia showed a better performance in first half and they created many chances toward Vietnam. However, they scored only one goal, in contrast Viet Nam changed strongly in the second half to comeback and win 3-1 over Malaysia.

This is final test before Coach Miura’s official squad list of 22 players. Therefore all of them tried their best in a last chance. However players missed many easy chances. Because Malaysia had a very firm defending. In 22th minute, after having pressing much under Vietnam’s area, Yahyah was successful in defeating goalkeeper Nguyen Manh and opened for Malaysia.

Entering second half, Coach Miura replaced Hai Anh by Hong Quan. This players quickly set his impression by equalized the game. When Ahmad got a red card from 48th minute, Malaysia still only left 10 players. Van Quyet and Hoang Thinh respectively set 3-1 win for Vietnam.

In spite of having won Malaysia, coach Miura still had many things to do with defenders of Vietnam before AFF Cup.
