After one effervescent competition week at Tan Binh Gymnasium, Vietnam University Games qualifying in HCMC has ended in evening April 14th. Hong Bang international University has won the first prize of Men’s Football. HCMC Medicine and Pharmacy University has won the first prize of freestyle dancing and the first one of basketball belonged to RMIT Vietnam. 

Two teams competed in the final game of basketball were RMIT Vietnam and HCMC University of Technology. Both have show best effort for a thrilling and exciting game within cheer from audience on Tan Binh Gymnasium‘s stand. Though RMIT Vietnam was highly estimated than HCMC University of technology. However, the “fire” from stands encouraged Technology men to compete as fiercely as the opponent. When the score of game was 27-27, thanks to having highly concentrated in last seconds of the match, RMIT Vietnam won the important point to defeat HCMC University of technology. After this 28-27 wins over technology men RMIT Vietnam will attend in national finals.

In freestyle dancing, both HCMC Medicine and Pharmacy University and Hoa Sen University had made impressions on the audience; especially It took examining body too much time to choose the winner because of their same level of talent. However, creative style from HCMC Medicine and Pharmacy University combined with unified dance steps had brought them the highest prize. Nevertheless, the most thrilling and exciting games was the finals of indoor soccer ( Futsal ). Having won over 10 famous universities in HCMC, Hong Bang International University and HCMC University of Technology had faced together in the finals. With inherent strength Hong Bang International University was not difficult to have advantages of two leading goals in the first –half. Hong Bang play defensively therefore Technology men were easy to shorten the score from midfield area. However, right 5 minutes afer Technology men’s goal, Hong Bang International Univeristy had set 3-1 win for the champion of VUG Futsal.

Thus, 12 high-ranked teams in Futsal, freestyle dancing and basketball from north and south Vietnam will continue competing in the national finals which is expected to hold in May in HCMC.
