The national futsal team has arrived in Spain as planned on August 14 to begin final preparations for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup running September 10 to October 1 in Colombia.

It has been announced that the 17 players on the squad will attend a training camp and play three friendly tune-up matches with clubs from Spain, Malaga and Jaen before moving on to Argentina.

There they will hone their skills in two friendly matches before departing for Columbia on September 5 to take part in the World Cup. This year, Futsal World Cup has attracted 24 nations including five Asian countries.

As scheduled, Vietnam faces Guatemala on September 12 in the first round of Group C, which promises to be an exciting and challenging feat, according to the coaches.
