• Games Send-off in Ho Chi Minh City: Ready to do the Best

    In the morning of November 23rd, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism cooperated with Ho Chi Minh national Sports training Center to hold a send- off ceremony which aims to encourage athletes’ spirit.

    More than 200 Coaches, athletes who belong to Viet Nam sport delegation gathered at Statue of Ho Chi Minh ( Nguyen Hue street, district 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to offer flowers respectfully before Myanmar trip. This is traditional ceremony before each big sport event. Southern Viet Nam delegation includes 18 teams within about 200 athletes who have practiced hard ịn months preparing for Myanmar Games. All of them are setting the highest goal to bring medals for country. 

    Mr Lam Quang Thanh Deputy Head of the General Department of Sports, head of the Vietnam sports delegation in the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar next month; Mr Vu Duc Phan – head of department of Viet Nam high performances, Mr Nguyen Thanh Rum director of the city’s culture department, Mr Nguyen Thanh Lam- deputy director of Ho Chi Minh national Sports training Center said: ” Now Viet Nam delegation is fully ready for SEA Games 27. All athletes will try their best for Viet Nam”.

    He also added: ” Athletes must compete with the highest decision; respect customs as well as obey the law, show loyalty and friendship with others and Myanmarese beside that don’t forget to introduce VietNamese Culture to foreign friends.”

    Then, in order to encourage them, the walking tour around Cresent lake was hold and attracted more than 5000 students in Ho Chi Minh City.
