SEA Games 27 Women's Futsal: Viet Nam to lose 1-6 against Thailand

Thailand’s women Futsal team is always a tough opponent to Vietnamese girls in recent years. In the evening of December 14th, Thailand girls had a convincing 6-1 win over Viet Nam at Wunna Theikdi Stadium.

Viet Nam women’s futsal team failed to defeat Thailand

Vietnamese girls entered game confidently to open for game in 15th minute from Vu Thi Huyen Linh’s score from Thuy An’s corner. Thailand raised higher after this goal against. Right one minute later, Orathai equalized 1-1 for the blues. Thailand girls who owned better experiences and skills totally overwhelmed Vietnamese ones. Sasicha and Darika respectively raised score to 2-1 than 3-1 before the first half ending.

Entering the second half, Viet Nam tried their best but they had to receive more three goals against. The main reason was that our players’ physical strength were weaker. Moreover, Thailand hold too sharp attacks toward Vietnam. Vietnam’s defense wasn’t strong enough to put press under opponents.

Losing 1-6 against Thailand caused Vietnam to stand after Thailand on standing table. In the previous game at 13h00 Malaysia’s women futsal team has to share point with Indonesia after 1-1 draw. In the last round, Viet Nam will face Malaysia at 13h00 on December 18th.
