True dreams and real acts

After several years busy with local futsal development, the dream of dedicated ones became true as Vietnam Futsal Team was qualified for FIFA World Cup Futsal hosted in Colombia in 2016. Besides, the win over Japan at AFC Futsal Championship 2016 has always appeared in their mind emotionally. After these successes, the routemap for futsal development in Vietnam has been stilled set up correctly through active ways.

It is clearly that futsal developers in Vietnam have come off well in making important steps. Beside professionalizing futsal system, organizing many training trips for national squad, hosting AFF and AFC’s tournaments, they also paid special attention to young players development by opening training centers throughout the country. Strongly expected young players started to appear in 2018 from Thai Son Bac center (Hanoi) to Thai Son Nam (Buon Me Thuot, Saigon).

Honestly, this has contributed to the historic victory of Vietnam futsal 2 years ago and the miracle at AFC Championship at the middle of this year.

Success

Mr.Tran Anh Tu – Chairman of Thai Son Nam futsal club – the one cried with happiness in Taskent, Uzbekistan in 2016 might be moved again as Thai Son Nam one more time made a miracle in Asia scale. In the situation of generation transmission and farewell of coach Bruno Formoso, Mr.Tu brought Vietnam futsal the new captain Miguel Rodrigo.

In the third year managing the club, coach Miguel helped Thai Son Nam climb to the 2nd place in Asia for the first time in history and made himself one of world’s 4 best futsal coach. Thai Son Nam was also among one of 10 best futsal teams in the world, and Ho Van Y appeared in top 10 best goalkeepers last year.

These outstanding achievements known widely in the world are worthy with the way that futsal has operated during the last years.

Ego

Success surely goes with improvement. There are still a lot of plans for Vietnam futsal to finish in 2019. Performance in the Southeast Asia league needs to be improved, and Vietnam U20 is confronting the upcoming Asia U20 futsal tournament.

We all hope that Vietnam futsal will go further in 2019 with the developing platform, encouragement from the fans and especially the responsibility to appreciate the tireless investments during the last time.
