After beating Myanmar 2-0 in friendly comfortably, U 23 Viet Nam was supposed not to be strong whereas our opponent was weak.

In press conference, Coach Hoang Van Phuc seemed to be quite calm after 2-0 win over U23 Myanmar. According to mr Hoang van Phuc, there are still many weak points in U 23 Viet Nam squad especially the scoring. If Viet Nam players had showed exact scoring skills, the game wouldn’t have ended in 2-0. Moreover, facing with a not too strong opponent, U23 Viet Nam’s line of defence revealed many faults. If goalkeeper Nguyen Manh hadn’t concentrated highly when jumped up to push off the ball in the beginning of 1st half, Ko Chit’s header would have caused U23 Viet Nam drown into embarrassment.

However, we also praised our footballers for their performances. U23 Viet Nam has been better within a few days.  Launching the squad less than the latest game at My Dinh stadium against Japanese club 4 players, Viet Nam players had devoted sharp attacks which caused opponents embarrassed. Without Van Quyet, Van Thang, however the center back was kept safely by Huy Hung, especially captain Manh Dung. Besides Quang Hung, Hoang Thien, Đinh Hoang, Thanh Hao played successfully, Minh Tuan and Danh Ngoc deserved to be praised for their  flair in choosing position and good rotation in the pitch.

Talking about U23 Viet Nam’s win over Myanmar, mr Myint Aung said that: ” U23 Viet Nam had a better game than us in both  individual and tragedy. Our team had revealed much errors than you.” Viet Nam players understand that they shouldn’t too proud of their win,our goal is not only defeating the host SEA Games 27, but also the final game of SEA Games. Therefore, We must be stronger than now when facing with U23 Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore…
