Before the friendly match between Viet Nam’s under-23 team and Kashima Antlers ( japan), coach Hoang Van Phuc asserted that his players definitely would play a beautiful and fair game against players from Japan. However, he also said that: “ U23 Viet Nam will not take seriousness in results, the core is that we are selecting and completing squad as well as play style for the next upcoming tournaments”.

– Good morning Coach Hoang Van Phuc, Could you please tell me something about what Viet Nam under-23 team has been prepared for this game against Kashima Antlers tonight?

As we know, U 23 Viet Nam has just been called recently, moreover, there is also many young players whose this game is the first time at national team, that’s why all of them still feel so strange. However, all the called players this time are very prospective. From the first day at national team, they have practiced seriously, obeyed coach’s syllabus.

– U23 Viet Nam has young factors in squad who are full of desires to assert themselves in national team. Do you believe in a win?

All teams always play for the best results after any game, nevertheless, I don’t want to take seriousness in winning. The most important thing is what U23 Viet Nam had gained in the previous time so that we could take experiences for upcoming future.

– It’s known that coach board had regularly changed positions in squad. Do you have the final core line-up against Kashima Antlers?

Though U23 Viet Nam squad includes many players from different championships, we can understand which positions are the best for our players. However, It’s too early to select the main line-up, they all need time to self-assert as well as experience more. Therefore, in a few days It’s impossible to select the core squad.

– 27th Sea Games will start up in about 5 months. Do you think Viet Nam have enough time to turn dream into reality.

It’s certain that Viet Nam will set the goal to enter the final game of sea game. However,  in Football to be successful depends on many factors that include skills, efforts and luck also. I don’t want to put any pressure under my players but I know to encourage their enthusiasm to play for national color in every game.
