The host Uzbekistan controlled the whole game, however Viet Nam players were resilient until 70th minute. Though Viet Nam was defeated 1-3, they played well in general. 

Losing 3 games, Coach Van Si and his men had to stop

Viet Nam are in difficulty to go through because of its two losing. While Uzbekistan also gained 1 point after 1 game, they certainly wants to defeat Viet Nam at home for 3 points so that they have chance to go to the next round. That’s teh reason why only 1 draw at Uzbekistan is also the good result for Coach Nguyen Van Si and his men.

Viet Nam showed its careful tactics which caused Uzbekistan without goal in the first half though they control the ball much more. In the end of first half, the hosts created two real dangerous situations toward Thanh Binh goalkeeper.

Entering the second half, Uzbekistan still met difficulties to find Thanh Binh’s net. While Coach Van Sy had replace Thanh Luong by Van Thang, Ngoc Duy by Cong Vinh so that Viet Nam could take the chance to attack.

In 70th minute, Uzbekistan finally had an open from Rashidov. The host quickly scored more goal from Alexander Geynrikh. Viet Nam was thought to be break after two goals against, Trong Hoang’s sudden goal shortened 1-2 for Viet Nam in 77th minute. This goal encouraged players to equalize that caused the game more dramatic. In 89th minute, Viet Nam received a free kick, however Cong Vinh couldn’t realise this chance into real goal. Viet Nam totally lost hope when Sergeev scored a goal and set 3-1 win for Uzbekistan.

After having lost 3 games, Viet Nam is ranked at the bottom of the standing table. While UAE is leading with 4-0 win over Hong Kong.Uzbekistan stands at the second position, because they have less goal difference than Hong Kong.
