In the morning of June 14th, The Standing Committee of HCMC Department of Sports and Culture’s Youth Union held the youth football championship of the City’s Emulation Cluster 4 – Civil-Party Administration with the scheme “Health of the heroic city” at Thanh Đa Sports and Gymnasium Club, Bình Thạnh district.

The football event aims for 95th celebration of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st, 1925-June 21st, 2020) and towards the success of the Party Congress at all levels 2020-2025. Besides, the championship is to enhance physical health and the consolidarity of bodies.

Youth football championship “Health of the heroic city”

Participating to the youth football championship of the City’s Emulation Cluster 4 – Party Civil Administration includes 7 teams: The union VOH – Sài Gòn Giải Phóng Newspaper – The city’s Department of Information and Communications), HTV, HCMC Department of Science and Technology, The Management Board of HCMC Civil and Industrial Construction Investment, HCMC Department of Tourism, HCMC People’s Committee Office, HCMC Department of Sports and Culture.

Ms.Nguyễn Thị Hoài Phương, The Secretary of HCMC Department of Culture and Sports’s Youth Union, on behalf of the organization board, stated in the opening ceremony: “Through the championship, not only are towards celebration of the upcoming ceremonies but also enhance exchanges and connectivity between Youth Unions under the city’s Party Civil Administration, and it is also a wholesome playground for participants. On the other side, either through the championship, the organization board hopes to create a stronger development environment for sports and gymnasium activities in HCMC”.

Right after the opening ceremony, matches so dramatically and interestingly kicked off. After hours happening, HCMC People’s Committee Office was the best team as they in turn defeat their opponents to became the winners, HCMC Department of Science and Technology were the runners-up, while HCMC Department of Culture and Sports and HTV together stood third.
