Sourced from Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF), at the same time of renovating the surface of Thong Nhat stadium, HFF is also constructing 2 new international standard traning grounds to serve Vietnam national teams everytime they move to HCMC.

Mr.Ngo Le Bang – Vice Chairman of HFF – said that these 2 training grounds are being renovated and will be put into operation in the upcoming March, at the same time when the surface of Thong Nhat stadium is already improved.

Mr.Bang stated: “First of all, these training grounds will help reduce load for Thong Nhat stadium in peak periods when national teams move to HCMC. The 2 new grounds will also solve the lack of facilities for  HCMC football’s young players training, and either serve the 2 professional teams of the city: HCMC Football Club and Saigon Football Club.

Final categories of the training grounds being completed to put in use

“Besides, national teams will train here when they gather in the city. HCMC Football Federation is a member of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), thus, when being asked by VFF, HFF will arrange for national teams to use the grounds” – he added.

Sources show that these 2 new training grounds will have international standard lawns with quality similar to Thong Nhat stadium’s as they have the same consulting and constructing unit.

Lawns of the 2 training grounds and Thong Nhat stadium all use Bermuda grass, the most popular one in the world at present. The 2 new grounds locate inside Phu Tho sports and fitness center, managed and operated by HFF.

Meanwhile, the French expert of HCMC-Lyon football academy, Mr.Julien, revealed that he is very satisfied with these 2 new training grounds for young players.

Expert Julien shared: “In HCMC, searching for standardized training grounds if very difficult. I am going to bring all young players of HCMC-Lyon football academy to these new grounds fro training after they are finished. With high-quality lawns, I hope my players’ skills will be improved better”.

The new training grounds of HCMC football is planned to put into operation in this March, at the same time when the surface of Thong Nhat stadium is already improved, timely serve the new season 2019, simultaneously serve national teams when they have demand.
