Saigon FC have been transferred to a new owner, but it may be too soon to expect to a professional outbreak in V-League 2020 because there has been no strong change in their force.

Moving to HCMC and changing its name from Hanoi to Saigon FC, the club actually chose Thống Nhất as its home stadium because they could not pay all of their spending. However, from 2020 season, Saigon FC can feel secure about financial issue as they have been transferred to a new owner.

It is also the transfer that makes Saigon FC be expected to have a strong transformation and to no longer follow the target to avoid relegation since moving to HCMC. But this is the story of the future. In the upcoming season, the hosts of Thống Nhất stadium maybe find it hard to make a professional outbreak to be one of the strongest teams in the title race.  This evaluation comes from human resource activities of Saigon FC for V-League 2020. Comparing to the football club of the same city HCMC FC, coach Hoàng Văn Phúc does not possess such big contracts.

The new players of Saigon FC are just in potential form, including midfielder Huỳnh Tấn Tài from Long An who has not promotes his professional performance as expected despite of being called up for national U23 team; goalkeeper Tùng Lâm from Hà Tĩnh who is just evaluated acceptable through an international friendly competition. The highlight of Saigon FC, if possible, can be the recruitment of Ahn Byung Keon. The South Korean centerback is high evaluated during the ongoing preparation, but it is necessary to have practical tests through competitive games in official competitions.

There are not several noticeable players, Saigon GC maybe expect to stability of their force like the previous seasons. Quốc Long, Văn Triền, Đức Lợi, etc are still the expected ones who form a solidary, unendureable and highly odd playing style like what they performed under coach Nguyễn Đức Thắng or Nguyễn Thành Công. Their new manager Nguyễn Văn Phúc also possesses a tactical vision like the two former ones, that is building a short pass playing style which promises to promote the advantages of Saigon FC.

It can be said that the necessary thing that Mr.Phúc brings Saigon FC is stability, avoiding erratic performance, some time playing well and some time falling near by the relegation group like in the last season. It may be hard to finish high in the league as qualification of their force is not very good, but Saigon FC can completely believe that they can finish much higher from the relegation group if they have stability.
